About me

Having graduated from an accredited course, I am a qualified person-centred counselor and registered member of the BACP, abiding by their codes of ethics.

I provide one-to-one adults counselling from London Bridge, where I facilitate individuals in exploring their issues of concern.

With 10 years+ experience,  my expertise, skills and knowledge were gained through my involvement in a variety of settings and organisations, including: a bereavement and loss organisation, a domestic violence charity and a parent support groups. Initially, I provided telephone counselling at ChildLine/NSPCC before moving into adults counselling. More recently, I have been seeing clients with an organisation providing counselling to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

All my years of work have given me a broad range of experience and I have been privileged to work with many people from diverse areas of life.

Sessions can be run in either English or French, as I am a fully competent and fluent user of both languages.

Location: London Bridge

My approach
Are you experiencing any of the following?
  • Low self-esteem
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement & loss
  • Abuse (including Female Genital Mutilation)
  • Identity issues

From time to time, everyone experiences events which are stressful, making us feel distressed, dissatisfied and discouraged. It can get increasingly difficult to see clearly beneath layers upon layers of worries and habits shaped over a lifetime. Counselling can give a space to put things into perspective and help to find balance.

The person-centred approach is  non-directive: you are in charge of your session, meaning that the agenda is set by you, which in itself can be empowering.  Thus, my role  as a counsellor is to accompany you on that journey of self discovery;  I am here to walk with you at your own pace and facilitate you in unlocking your full potential.

Greater awareness brings about the possibility of healthier life choices, by way of recognising patterns which have either slowed you down or hindered you up until now. Can some of these patterns be kept? Can some be discarded entirely? Or are they to be tweaked? You decide.

A warm, empathic and non-judgmental environment is provided allowing you to explore your presenting concerns. It is a collaborative process.

I strongly believe in individual potential for change and growth. It is with this in mind that you will be encouraged to come up with solutions that feel right to you.   In the process, counselling can help you to find the strength to overcome these difficulties and the feelings that accompany them.

You will be offered one-to-one, short to long term therapy tailored to your individual need in either English or French.

Initial session
The initial session gives you the opportunity to ask further questions, ensure that the person-centred approach is suitable for your needs  and see if we can work together.

The introductory session entails exploring what brings you to counselling and what are your expectations, as well as some practical matters (confidentiality, scheduling...).
